GOLDEN WEDDING.
MOORE-BLOMFIELD. On December 26, Mr and Mrs W. Moore, of Thames, celebrated their golden wedding. Mr Moore, who hails from Suffolk, came to Thames in 1868, and remained here about a year. He returned to Auckland, and in 1870 went to Coromandel, where he lived for 40 years. Mrs Moore came from Islington, London, and settled in Auckland. Mr and Mrs Moore were married in 1871. They have received many congratulations upoil attaining their golden wedding anniversary. Three sons, Messrs H. Moore, of 'Warkworth, F. Moore, postmaster at Te Awamutu, and V. Moore, of Cambridge, and one daughter, Mrs I. Brown, of Thames, were present at the family re-union. One son, in Australia, could not get away, but he sent his son to represent him. Mrs Moore is a sister of Mr C. Blomfield, the well-known artist, and an aunt of Mr Blomfield, of the Observer.
