RESULT OP OPERATIONS. The sixth annual report of the Poverty Bay Meat Co. showed a profit of £1270 for the year, which, added to the balance from last year, made £6498'- available for appropriation. The sum of £39,742 stands to the credit of the- Admirsfl Codrington; this is after- a deduction of £13,700 for depreciation'and £14,178 for improvements to the steamer. • An allowance of £6295 was made for depreciation on plant, etc., and a further £1674 interim dividend paid to preference shareholders to. February last. The directors recommended a. 7 .per cent, dividend to Wjpa'id on preference shares only, absorbing; a further £1674, and carrying over the balance to next yeaiw During the year 140,247 sheep, 69,384 lambs and 83339 cattle were killed.
