KOPUARAHI.
(From Our Travelling Reporter.) ' i-j HOCKEY CLUB BALL.
The first ball promoted by the Kopuarahi Hockey Club Avas held in the Pipiroa Hall on Wednesday evening. NotAA'ithstanding the- adverse Climatic' conditions about 90 couples attended. Visitors came from all parts of the district. A launch brought. a latge number of Thames enthusiasts who haA'e long appreciated the sociability of the dances promoted by the settlers of the Hauraki Plains. Many very becoming eA r ening dresses were seen. Excellent music was rendered by Williams’ orchestra. Extras were played by Mesdames R. Green and E. Campbell, A. White, and J. Luav carried out the arduous duties of M.s C. The hall decorations Avere all that could be desired. The club deserve every credit for.the most successful manner in which the function passed off. It "is hoped by all that the ball Avill 'be, as is intended, an annual affair.
