A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCTION (A. and N.Z. Cable.) (Received 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, August 4.
Replying to a question in the House of Commons, Sir W. Mitchell "Thomson stated, that the Board o£ •.Trade was considering a very substantial reduction in the estimates ior the headquarters staff of tn© Trade Department. The Australian IJress Association learns that the reduction will not in any way interfere with the activities of the Commissioners for Australia and New' Zealand and the other Dominions who> will continue to work on the present lines.
