PUBLIC NOTICE. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £31,000 for purchase of land, erection of County Chambers, purchase of furniture, machinery and plant and purchase of quarries, quarry sites, machinery and. othei equipment therefor. Notice is hereby given: 1. That it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913. and amendments thereto respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling, to borrow the sunvof £31,000 for the following purposes : (a) The sum of £BOO for the purchase of land at Ngatea to be used as a Country Site for the County Chambers, the Engineer’s house and a depot. (b) The sum of £2,500 for the erection of County Chambers at Ngatea and for the purchase of furniture and fittings therefor. (c) The sum of £2,800 for the purchase of a motor road-roller. (d) The sum of £9OOO for the purchase of five metal trucks. (e) The sum of £250 for the pur- • chase of a scarifier, (f) The sum of £lso'for the purchase of a water-cart. (g) The sum of £BOO for the purchase of a portable stone-crush-er. (hj The sum of £3OO for the purchase of . portable bins and screens. (i) The sum of £SOO for the purchase of an engine to drive portable crusher. (j) The sum of £9OO for the erection of 3 bins oh the Waihou arid Piako Rivers. (k) The sum x>f £SOO for the purchase of an air compressor plant. (l) The sum of £4OO for the purchase of a concrete mixer. (m) The sum of £SOO for the purchase of elevating machinery for bins. (n) _The sum of £250 for the purchase of a grader. (o) The sum of £IOOO for the purchase of two tractors. (p) The sum of £l5O for the pur- , chase of scoops. (q) The sum of £BOOO for the purchase of quarries, quarry sites, machinery, plant and other equipment therefor. (r) The sum of £2,200 for the payment of the first year’s interest and sinking fund and preliminary expenses. (2) That as security for the payment of interest, sinking furid and other charges on the said loan it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of one halfpenny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. (3) That, it is the intention of the said Council to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first yearl / (4) The loan is for a period of 36J years'at the rate of interest of 5 % per centum per annum, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund.
