The .girl staged .that Casey was her young man. When she discovered her ooaadition she as.*ed the accused to marry her. He said that he had not enough money. Subsequently she had an operation. She. said that Casey advised her to take that course. The accused stated in .evidence that he suggested that the girl should be examined by Mrs. 'Geraity^ who was a nurse, % ascertain if tie doctor's diagnosis was correct.
