The following correspondence was received: Pioan Public Works Department, stating that the Government would gilve a grant of £1 tor £1 towards the Kauaeranga bridge.—'lt was decided that the amount necessary be paid into the bank, and the Department 'be asked to urge on the construction of a, neiw bridge.
