HUN PRISONERS' JOY DAYS

Ghxistlihas week was a very happy one for German prisoners of war at J/unmow, Essex. A large fir tree from a farm was decorated with candles and other small articles. The Huns danced round the tree &nd sang German carols, and a large German sausage .was served up to them at tihe Dmnmow workhouse.

Tho menu for Christmas week was provided by parcels from their homes and by goods bought in the town.
