The mounted members of the 219 th and 30th reinfoi'cements, who have been spending a prolonged leave at Thames, returned; to camp to-day.
We are informed that Mr Samuel Driver, fonneiiy employed ait Price'tS foundry, is now* an instructor at Salisbury pkinsi camp in England. Thia disposes of a rumour thait he has been wounded in France.
Mr F. H. Cluxton gives notice that he again offers his services as County Council member for the Parawai Riding, and if rei-elected will endeavour to secure a reasonable share of expenditure in the rdiingi, and conserve the interests ot the ratepayers., in the whole County.
Ait the close of the eiveniing; service at St. George's Church last evening, thejlev. Mr B<&k made reference to the death while on active service of Sergb. H. Thayer, who had while in Thames been a member of the.choir. The Dead March in Saul was played by Mr Webb, before the congregation dispersed.

It was a hai™ 1" thought to print in London a newspaper devoted to news from this Dominion. Though primarily intended for our soldiers, the distribution of the New Mander eEould have far-reaching effects.
