LONDON, July 2 ■A French, communique says: —On tlie Cerny-Aillis sector the bombardment lias redoubled! in intensity. A violent enemy attack followed at east Cerny on a, 600 metre front on both sides of the Aillis-Paissy/ road. Th© enemy occupied a line of trenches evacuated by us. Our artillery created- great havoc amongst the enemy, who wetna unable to punh the attack further, despitei all efforts.—A. and N.Z. and Reuter.
