The Allied representatives had further conferences on Saturday and Sunday. ■Generals Cadrona, Lyantey, Dallolijr, Morrane, and Palitzine ' held a military conference on Sunday. . Mr Lloyd Geonre and Mo us. Briand have declared that- they are extremely satisfied with" the progress of the conferences. - The proceedings . were in-perfect .harmony. , ROME. Jan. 8. Mr Lloyd George declares, himself well satisfied with-the result of thevisit. The conference resolved upon a. vigorous resist-since, and decisive plans were made for a great effort towards victory. lie was especially pleased with the Italians' munition development. •Mons. Briand declares that the conference revealed a complete agreement, which will soon produce tanjri- - ' He and magnificent l'esulis. 1 . The dejegaies had an ovation in the streets. All expressed their satisfaction at the complete success of th& conference whose decisions will be • translated into decisive action, paving" the way to victorious issues. The' discussions were characterised by absolute frankness, (unselfishness, harmony, and an iron determination.
