PRESENTATION.
A presentation of a pleasing character took place, this.afternoon, when Mr Clendon, the president.' of "th» Thames Golf Club, on behalf of the members, presented their ' secetary, Mr. H. J : Joyce, with tokens ol their regard. Mr Joy. c leaves to-morrow morning to take, up military duties at Trentham. The presentation consisted of a wristlet watch suitably inscribed, a large box of special cigarettes, -' and a Lowe pipe, these being substantial mementoes 1 of appreciation for the services l rendered to the olub for some, years past. In making the presentation, Mr Clendon apologised" for so many of the members being out of town, and expressed the wish that? Mr Joyce would have the best of luck while away, and return with honours .at the conclusion of hostilities.
