—+ — REFUSES TWO FORTUNES —♦ —- ABLE TO EO WITHOUT IT. Mr Enoch T. Evans, a. labourer, of Seranton, Pennsylvania, has just been . notified tihat two fortunes, amounting to £20,000, await him in Wales. Philadelphia reports state that Mr Evans, who is 5i years old, refuses to proffer his claim to these fortunes, '-, because he has never forgiven his father for refusing t<> allowhim to '] dance when a boy. He was brought up ! very strictly, and when he was 'able to ' shift for himself he left home and : came to, America, cutting himself <-:i> ' tirely off from hi* Wolsh relatives. Mr I Evans is the only heir to ,£10,0!)0 • left b>' his father, atid a similar | amount lefti in trust by an uncle. He ! declines to touch the money, saying that it can remain in. Wales' for his children when they grow up, when he is" dead. Be is determined to 1 support himself and his seven children on his eariiing'K as a common 'labourer. "If I have lived all theso years without this money," says he, "lean get along the rest of my days without it."
