NARROW ESCAPE FROM DEATH.
EXCITING AERIAL EXPERIENCE^ >, LONDON, November 24. Two men iletft Bialttereea. Fade, south-east London, in a balloon, intending to alight on the English coast. Their experiences proved to be exciting. They rose to a height of 3000 ft.. and' travelling swiftly before the ■wind, suddenly heard what they took tio be the beatinlg of the surf. It was night time, and in dead sileace they descended, only to find themiselvefi 1 in the midst of a thick fog 1 accompanied by vain. The envelope of their baloon was smkedi, and the balloon, mnk quickly, unti the men found, that they were about fifty yards above the ■\vi?..veiS. They shouted, for two hours, nnd passed oleca over several steamers, but nobody heard tlheir cries. They held only three matches between them. The first went out, the second broke, but the third burned for a few seconds, and some fishermeni motiided the flaire and rowed a. boat to tiheir rescue. As-ai latslt resource one of the obcupainta of the Walloon decided 1 to* jump ouit and thus give the other a ohande. Both were saved.
