LONDON, July 1. Wihils -filling the Thunderer's magazine at Dejvonport a 13.5 mcli shell slipped from a slings and fell 30ft to the floor of the magazine.

The horrified crew rushed to a dit - tanoe, but though the fuse was di a tied the shell did not explode. It would have destroyed the ship. Work had to be suspended to suable the men to recover .from the shock.
