At a conference of representatives of the various settler's* organisations in the Bay of Plenty, and the Eotoraa Chamber of Commerce last night, a resolution was carried "That this conference of Eotorua residents and representatives from the Bay of Plenty, Waiotapu, and Taupo districts considers that whilst the EastCoast main trunk railway is now under construction the present is an opportune time to urge upon the
Government the necessity for i\ railWay .connection fromi Biotorua to Paengaroa as the most practicable route in Hulking up the seaport of Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty district with the railway system of the Dominion.
