AMUSEMENTS.

TAYLOR-GARRiNGTON COMPANY.

"MYSTIMY OF A HANSOM CAB."

To-night the. Taylor--Camngton management -will present a-.dramatisa-tion of Fergus Hume's world famous book, and there will doubtless be it very large audience to witness it. The company has been specially orgainsed with the object of ; , presenting the great detective drama with a very strong cast of characters. The! book lend itself admirably to dramatisation, for the incidents are thrilling, the characterisation comprehensive, and the comedy effective. I'he fact of the dramai dealing with. Australian life, too, makes it specially interesting, and the plot is so cleverly constructed that the audience is kept in doubt as to what, the ending of the piece will be until the very last scene. The scenery li^g been specially painted, and the scene of the murder, -with the hansom cab and horse in the foreground, with St. Kilda road as r, back-ground, is very effective, ihiv exchanges have nothing but praise fo>tho entire production, and judging by thedr reports the piece has drawn crowded houses- in all the principal towns in the Dominion. We are requested to dra.w attention to the fact that this production is for positively one night only, as the company appear at Waihi to-morrow night.
