PROGRESS OF CROSSCUT

The 100-Oft level crosscut has now I-been advanced a. total distance' of :.2107ft from the Thames Hauraki shaft, -it is now 515 ft iii the Waiotahi ground, and in another 9ft, will be abreast of the Waiotaihi shaft. The Victoria subsidiary .crosscut will 'commence from this point, and it is believed that 200 ft of driving; will bring the crosscut to below the'point where good gold wa»s obtained in the upper workings of the mine.
