YESTERDAY'S MEETING.
The Thames Drrinago Board met yesr terday. Present: Messrs C. Hudson, H. H. Adams, A. Brown, H. Lowe (Mayor of Thames), W. Baker, Graves Aicken.
—The Financial Position.—
Tho statement of .account for the month of August showed receipts £630 2s 5d ,made up as follows: Cash balance on August Ist £137 6s Bd, drainage contributions £476 0s 4d, and Victoria Co. for coal £6 15s sd. The payments were £46 Is, accounts also £256 5s sd, leaving a balance of £317 16s to carry forward. The contributions unpaid t-
£1169 2s 8d and accounts due amounted to £1786 10s 4d.
—Board Regulations. —
The chairman reported that he had seen the Minister o rf Mines regarding the regulations under which tho Board has to work. The Minister promised to consult, with the Grown Law officers, and drait some regulations before, the end of the year, ta meet the present altered requirements. :
—Contributions^ —
The Thames Borough Council forwarded intimation that the customary donation of £100 would be made this year.
—The Big Pump.—
It was resolved to appx-oach the Irustees of the Big Pump at the northern end of the field with a suggestion that the property be vested in the names of the Hon. E. Mitchelson, A. Brown, and C. Hudson.
