Mr G. W. Horn, (manager) reports: "Eowe's leader, hiamigingwall 'branch : The drive on iihis leader has been extended, a further 13ft, making the. total distance driven on the leader west, of the crosscut 43ft. The leader varies in width from 3 to 6 incites, and still carries very good minerals, and from its promising' appearance 1 have been expecting to come on gold every breaking down. 9in leader: A distance of 28ft has been driven on this leader west of the crosscut. It. is now ai nice solid body of ore about 15in wide, and during the last breaking down, a little antimony was found mixed with the quartz, which is a veiy good indication for gold Eere. No. 4 level: Rise on Cur.c reief: I have had' to suspend operations on. the reef for the present, as I wished to test Wfaitley's leader below the intermediate level to ascertain if the rum of gold goes below the level, and to do this requires two men.l. Winze on Whitley's leader: This is nov down 16ft anldi .has just struck the hangingwall of the Cambria reef, so that we now intend driving both ways on the leader _to try-and pick up the run of gold. Sfcopes: No. 4 stope has beemi carried' along' a; distance of 30 ft east of flS ro. 3 pass, and. has produced a little picked stone occasionally, but the leader appears to be getting smaller as we get up on it."
