Aidams submitted that the petition should ibe dismissed on the grounds that nio' specific charga had been proved calculated to materially nife;ob the result of the poll, and hnwould therefore apply to have the petition dismissed. AUr Skerrett quoted the judgments and tlie authorities to support his contention'that the: vital' pirincipki -ii the ballot was secrecy. This he ursitl had been violated by the maanjier in which the recent poll had been conducted. '
