During his stay in the north he will go into the question of a site for public buildIngs ait Hamilton., there being some difference, of opinion as to whether the. 'building's should be erected' at Hamilton dtself or «t Frankton. Tie will also attend to various departmental mlaitfers in 'Auckland city, and will probably take advantage of Ins stay mi the: .north to visit Thames ii« order to inspect the Th,a.mes-iH!auraki pumping plant. While at Thames he will probably tgo into a number of questions relating to mining matters there. He is expected to return to the capital on Wednesday next, amd shortly afterwards will propeied to Nelson, Coirnitrwood, and other pUces in this district in order to fulfil ai number of emiaagements that nave- been made for him.
