The inquiry into the Hutt local option poll was continued to-day, when the petitioners concluded their case, with two witnesses to be calkd on Monday.

• In opening the case for tihe defence Mr Skerrett contended! the No-license pai-.ty required five more votes to alter thte rwwlt. 'Regarding the other allega.tioinsi mi the petition counsel submitted no evidence whaitever had beam addwiced to show the poll had been affected. .
