One of the most pathetic ceremon-ies-ever witnessed at Mew Plymouth took place yesterday, when the 'emaTns of twenty-one of Taran<aki's early settlers, militia amd reguHrs, several of whom were killed in action, were removed from the old Catholic iburiai ground in, the centre of the town, where they neposed c "r half a century, to the Te Henue cemetery for re ntcrment.
The bodies were identified by the mine plates, which] were in a good state of preservation,.
