THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IT is hereby publicly notified that the Council of +be Borough of Thames, by way of Special Order adopted the following Resolution, at a. Special Meeting held on the 17th day of December, 1908 :—

1 "That the Council by Special Resolution intended to operate as a Special Order, do borrow from, the Hon. Minister of Finance of New Zealand, the sum, of Three' Thousand Pounds (£3000) for the purpose of establishing a, Public Abattoir under "The Slaughtering, and Inspection Act,' the term of the said loan to be a pcrixl of 26 yearn." And it was further resolved that a Special. Meeting of the said Counc.l be held on Thumlaiy, the fourteenth day of January, 1909, at 7.30 o'clock in the evening, to confirm or otherwise deal with the aforesaid Speiial Resolution.
