LONDON. June 12.

Major-General Sir Arthur Ellis, the Comptroller of the King's household, died suddenly in the stalls at the CoTent Garden during a gala performance of an opera. The public imagined that he had oaly fainted. The news was withheld from the King and the Danish guests until after the performance. , King Edward was greatly shooked.
