AUGEfsAND, June 1 lth., Two; young I jnen Charles George Frederick Peppier, 21, and Herbert Hewlett, 24, were charged with having received money, knowing it to have been stolen from the steamship Navua. TKe acciwed pleaded not guilty.

It will be remembered that 1000 sovereigns were stolen from the boat, and that two men, Christie and Manning, third officer and seamen respectively, were found guilty of 'having stolen the money and are how undergoing sentence. Pepper was charged with having received £230 of the moneys and Howlett£ 182. , Thenjufcy. after #0 minutes^ retirement brought in a verdict of not guilty and prisoners were discharged.
