Ohinemurii County Council, informed Council, that as the sum of <£4'QO atppeairs on the Estimates for the above work, the Ohineinuri Council considers tiho aanount amply sufficient for the..purposes and asks that the work be, proceeded with at once. .

In answer to. a request that authorities ibe issued! "to Council for the expenditure of grants provided, this year for works in .this Thames. County, information was received from the department of works thlniti the following amounts ware ibsued: Kauaeranga Valley £100', Nothcrton to Turua, £75. Townsend's Road 1 £50, Wharepoa Road £200. The authority of the vote for, Hikutaia, bridge was under consideration. (Since granted).

Resolved that tho Bntrineer be instructed to. proceed with tbe works* as soom as possible —County Votes.— Th!e following was reoeived from ( the Honi. Jas MoGowan, s-tating (1) Thiat 'authorities had been issued to enaible many of the County votes to be expended; (2) Ohanjjpion mane road: An additional amount Was votedi on the supplementary cstimiitcs fo^ this road and the amount now provided (£450) should J>e sufficient for fchie A\iork; (3) Piako Lands: My oojleague, the Tlon. Minister fr>i Lanids, has promised to visit thih locality at an early daito and will 'be able to kce for hiimself tine necessity of ■preparing and opening these lands for settlement; (±) Development of low levels: Like yourself I sincerely trust that something may Ibo done in this direction. —Auctioneers' License.— Jolmi Braid, applied for a renewal of auctioneers' license.—'Granted. —Track to Scandinavian Mine. — Vv 7". Gray, secretary of the Scandinavian, CM. Ooi, stated the tra.ck to the Scandinavian mine was in an impaseablo condition, land asked Council's assistance in effecting an improvementu R&feiTod to. Cr- Olark drew attention to the dangerous condition cf. Windy Point, an accident "beincs narrowly averted therei this week, lie thought it was imperative/ that the Council took prompt action. It. was decided to> instruct the Eingineer to> report.

Cr. Paul wag re-elected as Council's representpitive to the Drainaggi Board.
