Tlhio racings on tfei whole was interesting, and those present spent a most enjoyable day. The principal race of the day, the Jockey Club's Handicap, was won by Haeraniai, with Bully second' and Soultfish third. Frederick won'two events (the Domain Handicap and Flying Stakes 1. ' Mr J. Twoh.ill's Lady Clare started in the Hurdle"Race>, but foaid to- be content with, tliird place, Stepney being first and Hilltlower sei-Jond. JJuillj'- was sec ond in the To Aroha Jockey Club Handicap', while Mr Hughes' Syren iran; second in the Domain Handicap.
