HOMES FOR DISABLED MINERS.
The Butte Miners' Union (Colorado) has taken steps to establish, a home for incapacitated miners and smeltermen- Alt a meeting, of the union a resolution ■was adopted that an effort be made through .the State's senators and congressmen to secure the appropriation of 100,000 acres of public lands in the State for the establishment of a home for incapacitatedminers and others employed in and around th© mines, malls, and smelters of Montana- This movement on the part of the Buffcte miners shows a spirit ■which is coimim-eGocLaible- There are many thousands of men employed in the mining and smelting industry of Montana at the present time, and some of them are daily incapaiciitated by actoidemt or ftrwm other cause, and the union is desirous of providing a home for these men.
