LAST NIGHT'S MEETING.
•Aft. lasifa night's meeting of the Committee ;of the Thames Rugby-, Union (Mr T- Aitken, Chlairman, of Coamn ittee presiding) the matches for next Saturday werci arranged as under: — Seniors : County y- Suburbs (referee Mr S- Fergusson)- First Juniors: Ctousllty v- Cii'ty i(rfe£eree Mr T- A!. Cooper)- Second Juniors: City vCounty (referee Mr W. SimmondsV In the Schools matches. Kauaeranga v-Waio-klaraka (referee iMr T- A. Cooper) and Pairaiwai y. Tararu (Mr J- Towers). Regarding the Tbames-Aulckland return match, which was fixed, for Saturday week, July 28th,'it was stated that the tide (high, waiter at 12 o'clock) on t-hflib day would be unfavorable and thiat an endeavour had been, made to have -tihe match postponed: until Saturday, August 4th.- It wtos explained that the manager of the Auckland team (Mr .Slticihibiiry), who was a memlber of committeei, had stated thiat the Committee had no ofojecitibn to the alteration in date, buit the selector (Mli- D- Gallaher) slaid he must have his representative team together on August 4th, so tlhait the original date would hiave to be adhered to. j Thei return m-aitcihi with Auckland will tJiereifore ■ take pla,ce on Saturday, July 28th. Ainf endeavour is being made to arrange that the Waka-tei-e (will leave on Saturday morning, the excursionists ibeing taken out to the steamer in launches. If some arrangement such ;as this cannot be made the) boat will have to leave alboult midnight on Friday- .
