NEW UNA.
I The manager reports : —No. 3 reef: The Nos. 7 and 8 stapes, are still being persevered with, and the No. 9 has been commenced. The reef here is much diminished in size at present. This is .accounted for by a. change of country ,of a. soft nature, making its appearance: as the stope ascends. If no improvement takes place- iii the No. 9 stope, it is my intention to rise on the line of reef to g<ib above the change of country, and open out at a more favourable point higher up. Crushing with 15 head of stamps is in progress at the May Queen Extended battery; so far the ore is shaping but moderately.
