The unfortunate lad, had ifoeeu an inmate of the Thames hospital for some time, suffering from pains mi the head, and after 1 leaving the institution named he resided in the Waikino! district, .from which place he returned a. few days back, staying at friends whose residence is near the Hape Creek.- He has been under treatment by Dr. Airbini, and a.t El£e instigation of his mother wasI aibout ta consult Dr- Aubin to-day. | This morning, he left the house sudi demly, and upon* search feeing made : lie was nowhere to- be fouSid. Sergti Darby, who' is in charge of the local j polide, was communicated with, but j no trace off the yo>ung: mam could be found, until a report was received from a young main named Dumlop. The latter stated that as he was going up the Hapie Creek- "road he saw Gili pin o© thie trestle way standing a.s j though to dive ibelow. Gilpin, after a. . w!avtei of hisi hands!, took a header from i the boarded! way near the race, landi ing heavily on the ground- Assistance Was immediately available and the unfortunate young uiaiii was taken* to the hospital,, where if!" was discovered ,that| |he \wasi isjeverely'- hjrais>ed, was cut about in several places', and was /r^uffie^iinigj ififomi islijock;.
