« ACCOMPANIED BY LOUD EXPLOSIONS. (Per Press Association.—Copyright.; ADELAIDE, September 22. Friday'si earthquake shocks were very severe at Warooka on York's Peninsula, though the damage done to property was not so extensive outside the Troublidge light, which in value represents am outlay of five thousand pounds. Careful observers state that the shock lasted from a minute to a minute and a half, accompanied by loud explosions with choking sulphurous discharges. Scores of women went into hysterics and many fainted. One woman died of heart disease accelerated by fatigue over the shocks. MELBOURNE, September 22. Earthquake shocks were experienced nti Nli'll, Casterton, and Servetbn on Friday night.
