(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
COROMANDEL, This Day.
This discovery of valuable stone in the Commandel mines ia not apparently tfo be confined 1 to the Hauraki and! Bunker's Hill mane.
I learni that a startling development Las taken place; mr the Hauraki Freehold mine and that aa the result of operations speoimeni stone has been secured.
The full details of the find are nofc
yet available as considerable secrecy is maintained, but I understand that yesterday when a breaking down took place: specimen stone was secured.
It is reported tfiat gold is still sfiibwing in! the face and that the prospects are sucln thati the discovery of a valuable lode may be chronicled at any time.
Asi the goldi bearing 1 lode on which the Bunker's Hill tributers are working and securing specimens and picked stone is said tot be running straight into the Hauraki Freehold® mine, it may be thatf the continuation) of Legge's famous reef has been struck.
