WASHINGTON, September 28,, During the journey to Auburn prisou Czolgosz regretted the crime he had committed and pitied the widow. Hundreds of persons congregated outside -the gaol and made a rush for the murderer, intending lynching him. The guards with great difficulty protected their charge and drew their revolvers.
