Privates J. M. Gutter was killed, D. Manly severely wounded, and J. H. Templeton slightly wounded at Hemilfontein, Jesse W. Smith slighly wounded at Reitfontein, all New Zealand Mounteds.
The five columns which have commenced clearing are bounded in their Operations by Bioemfontein, Brandfort, Vet River, Winburg, and Thabanchu. Large captures of stock and grain have been made.
