The matron of the Hospital de-| sires through our columns to thank Messrs Thox-nton, of Thames, and Dines, of Puriri, for very acceptable presents of cases of fruit forwarded for the inmates.
Mr A. H. Curtis yesterday formally took over the management of the May (Jueen Hauraki and Moauataiari Companies! properties from Mr James .Park, who leaves to-day lo take up the position of Mining Px-o-fessor at the Otago University.
