DROWNING FATALITY.
MELBOURNE, February 25.
A man named McKay was 1 drowning, and a friend went to liis assistance. McKay collared him in such a way as both must have perished. The friend appealed to him not to drown him, unless he could save himself. McKay released his hold and was drowned. .
