Fire at Auckland.

AUCKLAND, -February 23. A fire occurred on Constitution Hill, today, one house being completely destroyed, and another gutted. The fire started in a dwellling-house occupied by Mrs E. Cooper, and spread so rapidly that practically (nothing was saved, the inmates having only time to escape. The flames spread to the . adjoining house, owned and occupied by Mr Archibald Grandison. This building was gutted before the fire was suppressed. Mrs Cooper's furniture was insured for £150 in the National and Mr Orrandiaon had a policy of £175 on bis house also in the National.
