The Testimony of Mrs. MARGARET HAWKES. j. • Accoucheuse, j Guildford, near Sydney. I (GIVKM TO OUB BKPOKTKm.) 1 Our ■ reporter recently met with Mrh Margaret Hawkei, accoucheuse and nurse, near Guildford Station (N.S.W.), who administers to the wants of the district. Mrs. Hawkes is well-known, and greatly liked the whole country round. She received our reporter most affably and said, "I have R«pemi«dly Re>comms>ndexi and prescribed Clements Tonic for' mr patients, and it certainly was of great benefit m every case where I advised its use.'- I hare invariably found," she continued, " Clements Tonic to be A Re>liabl« Remedy, and particularly useful in restoring the - strength of ladies after their confinements. The system then is much weakened,' and to neglect to give a restorative is a serious mistake. .Before I became acquainted with the benefits to be derived from the use of Clements Tonic I tried many of those socalled strengthening remedies and other rubbish the makers call "tonics," but I found they were of No Us* at All, and often distressed the patient to take them, and besides they greatly tax the stomach .and injure the digestion. Clements Tonic, however, is not unpalatable nor distressing to the stomach, and is easily absorbed by The most Delicate Byst«m, and I never knew a patient" who disliked it, or was caused anything but good results afterwards.. I found, on the contrary, that in every case it gave my patients A Splendid Appetite. The consequence was that they were up and , about in a marvellously short space of time, I i and it kept up their strength during nursing." | | " Have you recommended Clements Touic ' in many cases,-Mrs. Hawkes V I "Yes, I have, amongst others, particularly nervous complaints. " I have recommended it with great success in cases of neuralgia, and I can truthfully say I never had it fail." ! " " Have you any cases in your mind at . "present that you remember the effects ?" " Yes," said Mrs. Hawkes, with a smile, "I-could tell-you of scores where Clements Tonic has been simply invaluable ; i "Mrs.C ——,forinstance, was reduced tos skeleton. She was not strong enough to lift her own baby. Her food did her no good, and it seemed'as though she was never going to get over her confinement. - She was lying in bed a mere shadow of what she ought to have been. The doctor didn't seem able to do anything for her. However, I persuaded her to try Clements Tonic, and in three weeks she was completely well, and as strong as you or I. i "Then there was Mrs. L . She couldn't get over her confinement. The fact was her blood was very poor, and things looked rery serious, for a time. I brought her tome Clements Tonic, and in a very short time that -remedy 'vitalized "her blood, and | restored strength "to her system, -and she I made a splendid recovery. I 'can give you;, ietails of large numbers of somewhat similar' 1 ;ases, for I have been making use of Clements , Tonic in my practice for many years, and ihall continue to do so. I know there are t iota of cheaper things recommended, but whenever I find my patients'using them I leven-find, they get .any benefit, and I ilways have to insist on_the use of Clements Conic before they derive the benefit they wed. lam only too happy to sign this, and ;ive my full permission for its publication n any way, and trust it may be the means if bringing relief to some people who are in teed of the physical benefits sure to be obeined by the use of Clements Tonic. 1" THE Kauri Timber ■ COMPACT, Thames Branch, CAN SUPPLY THE UNDEBMB* TIONID TIMBIB, IT€.
