BRITISH TRAIN BLOWN UP. STEYN WOUNDED.

LONDON, December 29. Lord Kitchener reports that the enemy have been headed off from the south. In a sharp engagement at Greylingstadt eight British were killed, 27 wounded and 20 are missing. A Boer attack was repulsed at Benoni, Utrecht. The Boera blew up a train containing 16 Wanvickshires near Pan. The loss is serious. Tho news that Steyn has recently been severely wounded is confirmed. A Reuter message states that no inhabitants joined the eastern raiders, and only a few joined the western raiders.
