The 'Frisco mail agent reports the reported outbreak of plague at San Francisco turned out to be, like the tormer, a false alarm, very similar td what happened in Auckland, .except that the Board of Health in I'nsco has been accused of corrupt motives* in) the action they took He continues: "We bring a clean'bill ; of health, the President of the United States having intervened and railed the quarantine established by the Health 1 authorities.: I entertain na doubt whatever that no genuine case of bubonic plague has mad©.its annearance in 'Frisco up to the date of our departure."
