♦ (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) AUCKLAND, April 19. The Premier, replying to a large deputation of several Unions said he intended to bring in an amended Conciliation Act to give wider definition of industrial disputes. ' The limit prescribed by Judge Edwards was not contemplated by the Legislature. With reference to breaches of awards the Premier 1 understood the deputation wished the responsibility of enforcing the awards oast upon the Government officers. Awards should bo upheld, whther employees or employed committed a breach thereof, but proceedings should be taken by .authoritiesindependent!.of both employers associations and unions.
