The Boers captured Frank Smith, a well-known diamond merchant, at Barkly West. LONDON, April 16. The Daily Mail states that two German Maxims and a quantity of ammunition, destined for Pretoria, have been detained at Delag&o. .Bay by the Portuguese.
Lieutenant MctArtney, a, Victorian, wounded in the battle at Pieter'sl Hill in February, is convalescent. He had a bullet through his head from ear to ear.
