At the Auckland Rifle Association's meeting Major White cai-ried off the championship with 218 points, winning the matches for the Auckland Star and Herald cups and the champion aggregate, while he was beaten by W. E. Jackson on a tie for the Avondale trophy. Major White, having won* the Star Cup three times, becomes absolute owner, while he has won the Herald Cup for the second year, but this also requires to be won three times.
