Mr. Hofmeyer, in his appeal on behalf of the Boer wounded, declares that the Africanders, being. British subjects, are unable to join in the war. "■■- :: ■-•■..;• .
The transport steamer Wardha lost 100 horses during.a gale on the passage between Durban and Capetown.
