A FRIEND IN NEED
The following story comes from Newcastle, where not bo very long ago Mr. William Filmer, a highly respected resident 01 Abbott street, West Maitland, N.S.W., met an old friend. The fact of the meeting being unanticipated added a further charm to it. Mr. Filmer tells'the correspondent of a contemporary how the gentleman he met proved to be a friend in need, and in a way he did not expect. Mr. Filmer had for about 30 years been a sufferer from chronic diarrhoea, and on the advice of his friend, who had suffered for ten years from the Bame complaint, but was cured by Dr. Williams' pink pills, resolved to test the virtues of this great medicine in his own case. Speaking of his complaint Mr. Filmer Bays: "At times I was affected in a most alarming way, and notwithstanding all my care wifb. regard to diet _ I suffered terribly. I fell away to a'mere skeleton, grew weak, lost all confidence in my powers, and finally got so debilitated that after an attack I have been seized with fainting fits, which left me in a prostrate and helpless condition. It was by taking, as a last resource, the change ordered by my medical adviser that I met my friend in Newcastle. The most satisfactory results followed the trial with Dr. Williams' pink pills, my head grew clearer, my appetite increased, and I gradually got stronger, until now after a quarter of a century of suffering I can most conscientiously say that three and a half or four boxes of these famous pills have brought about my ultimate recovery. To-day I actually feel better than I have done for the past thirty years, and during the last nine months my weight has increased thirteen pounds. In sending this testimonial testifying to the. good qualities of Dr. Williams- pink pills I am performing my duty, so that other sufferers can know for a surety that a remedy is procurable that will make their troubles things of the past. It is over 15 months Bince I have taken Dr. Williams' pink pills, and I have had no return of my ailment all that time. I can safely say lam perma: nently cured. I would advise anyone suffering similarly to give them a trial." (Signed) %E. Filmer, Abbott street, West Maitland. Witness to signature: J. Thompson, May 17, 1899.
