The Ohau Enquiry.

At the Ohau enquiry W. T. Young, representing the teamen's Union of New Zealand in Wellington,' deposed that he was an A.B. on the Taupe in 1895., The Taupo and Ohau were praeticaliy one as far as build was concerned. In his opinion the class of vessel to which they belonged were very bad sea vessels. He related the experience he had on the Taupo ou a voyage to Suva when the vessel .ran ium> a gale, and tna crew tnougtit sne worn gumg to founder, Both boats were wou uuub ana wall iounu, but 1U Ills uj^iuiuu tuey iiwl nut aui&uent iretj uutud. .
