PUMPS CLOSED DOWN.
The pumps were closed down at mid night last night. The Cafcneron pump and pipes have been lifted out of the reach of the water, and preparations have been jmade for a long stoppage. Mr. Dunlop, who is in Coromandel, re turns to the* Thames to-night. TARARU CREEK. Cleaning up is taking place at the' company's reduction works, but will I not be completed before Thursday. MOANATAIRI. The trial crushing of 25 tons of quartz from the footwall of the No. 4 cross leader at the Cambria section re suited in 12ozs lldwta of gold being won, worth £34 19s 6d. ROYAL STANDARD.
At his auction mart to-day Mr. R. R. McGregor offered the machinery' of the Royal Standard Gold Mining Company for sale under warrant of distree. The (machinery is* at Messrs. Judd Broß.' foundry, where it was manufactured. The bidding was commenced by Mr. John Frater at, £300 and run up to £620, at which price it was knocked down to Mr. William Judd. The contract price for the manufacture of the 'machinery was £1600.
